PURPOSE:To prepare a complex from readily available raw materials by simple preparation operations and free from any safety problem by reacting the hydrolysate of pectin with iron and calcium. CONSTITUTION:The enzymatical or chemical hydrolysate of pectin is reacted with iron (preferably a ferric compound) and/or calcium in a liquid or solid phase to provide the objective complex.
