PURPOSE:To prevent a malfunction due to static electricity through an external terminal by sending an up dating data with a radio wave to up date the content of a personal identification number storage means to a selective calling receiver, using a control means to input the revision data from a collation means so as to up date the content of the personal identification number storage means. CONSTITUTION:A one-chip microcomputer (control means) 6 reads its own calling number from an ID-ROM (identification number storage means) 4 and sets the number to a decoder 3. The decoder 3 collates the set its own calling number with a calling number in a reception signal demodulated by a radio section 2 and when they are coincident with each other it is outputted to the one-chip microcomputer 6 and the decoder decodes a message signal sent succeedingly and the decode signal is transferred to the one-chip microcomputer 6. Since the one-chip microcomputer 6 discriminates a message character code received from the decoder 3 to be an up dated data of the ID-ROM 4, confirms no error and writes it into the ID-ROM, then the malfunction due to static electricity through an external terminal is prevented, the increase in the hardware is reduced without lowering the maintenance performance and miniaturization is attained. |
