The bulkhead at least partly closes an opening in the chamber, and is moved vertically by a drive. Above the opening is a changeover mechanism (8, 9, 10, 32) which can move the bulkhead from a vertical position into one where it is inclined, leaving the opening free. The bulkhead has lateral projections which have guide rollers (9) engaging in the guides (8), and its drive is of the chain type, the chains (12) of which are connected to it. The guide rollers (9) are rotatably fitted in the projections, and the guides (8) constitute a U-shaped formation. USE/ADVANTAGE - For dockside buildings and those in areas subject to flooding, to prevent penetration or outlet of water. |
