PURPOSE:To use the stereoscopic picture display device as a projector as well when a plane picture is displayed by providing an optical means with the optical path switching means of a first optical path from a picture projecting part to a stereoscopic picture display part and a second optical path from the picture projecting part to the outside of the device aside from the stereoscopic picture display part. CONSTITUTION:The picture projecting part 2, the stereoscopic picture display part 3 and the optical means 4 interposed between them are provided, and the optical means 4 is provided with the optical path switching means 41 to switch and set a first optical path from the picture projecting part 2 to the stereoscopic picture display part 3 and a second optical path from the picture projecting part 2 to the outside of the device apart from the stereoscopic picture display part 3. When a stereoscopic picture is displayed, the first optical path is set by switching the optical path switching means 41. When a plane picture is displayed, the second optical path is set by switching the optical path switching means 41, and simultaneously, a screen 5 is installed in front of the optical path. Thus, high picture quality can be obtained as well when the picture is projected on the screen. |
