PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which improves reaction speed in an immunoassay and moreover, achieves a better sensitivity. SOLUTION: A first antibody (antigen) with one of a set of a legand and a receptor bonded thereto is reacted with a second antibody (antigen) having an antigen (antibody) to be measured and a label substance bonded thereto in a liquid phase and simultaneously with or after the reaction, a carrier with the other of the set of the legand and the receptor immobilized thereon is applied to fix a composite body containing the second antibody (antigen) having the first antibody (antigen), the antigen (antibody) to be measured and the label substance bonded onto the carrier. In an immunoassay method thus arranged, the first antibody (antigen) is used with the amount thereof 40-200 times the expected maximum quantity of the antigen (antigen) to be measured, and a carrier is used to which the other of the set of the legand and the receptor is bonded with the amount thereof 1.5-7.5 times the quantity of the first antibody (antigen).
