This method and its screw conveyor and other arrangements provide for the feeding, into pressurised reactor chambers, of solid particles, suspensions that are not easily pumped, soft or viscous substances, molten materials, and similar matter that can be mixed with suspension or binding means or with lubricants. The matter is compressed to a gas-tight plug by the screw conveyor.
