PURPOSE:To recover the normal working of a controller from its uncontrollable state by initializing a storage means prior to execution of a control operation only when the destruction of the control information stored in a storage means is judged and at the same time setting the controller in a holding state at the end of the control operation. CONSTITUTION:When the electrical noises are superposed on a DC power line of a control substrate 1, a CPU 2 may sometimes have the runaway due to the destruction of the contents of a RAM 19. In such a case, a reset signal is outputted from a reset signal generating circuit 6 in at least 2.5msec after the working of the CPU 2 becomes abnormal. Thus the CPU 2 is forced to carry out a memory checking routine. Under such conditions, the CPU 2 carries out an initialization routine because the storage contents of the RAM 19 are destroyed. Therefore the storage contents of the RAM 19 are initialized and the CPU 2 carries out a control routine by reference to the initialized contents of the RAM 19. Thus the runaway state of the CPU 2 is immediately dissolved. |
