<p>PURPOSE:To perform accurate rental management, by providing a rental manage ment memory for storing rental information of each article, and automatically cancelling the registration if an object is returned to shelf within predetermined cancellation time after rent is registered. CONSTITUTION:A rack 21 is provided with many shelves 22 for housing articles and a body controller 23 is arranged while adjoining thereto. When a cassette 24 contained as an article in said shelf 22 is taken out and a normal rental registration is made, a table of rental management memory is retrieved with the number of said shelf 22 and necessary items are written. If said cassette 24 is returned to the shelf 22 within cancellation time, e.g. 30 min. from the time point when rent is registered, rental items of said cassette 24 in the rental management memory are cancelled automatically.</p> |
