An arrangement for adjusting a table (2) w.r.t. a base body (1) has several adjustment elements (3) which engage the edge of the tiltable table. The table is mounted on at least one spherical bearing (4) in the base body. The adjustment elements effect the alignment of the table using at least one action component in the direction of a tangent to the bearing sphere. The adjustment elements are arranged concentrically about the centre of the table. ADVANTAGE - Prevents table being decentralised, worn or deformed as a result of temp. variations or adjustment.
