摘要 Reducing ethyl carbamate in stone fruit brandy, esp. to reduce the cyanide content of alcoholic liquors from a distn. appts. in which the mash is heated in a still and the rising alcohol vapours are led into a concentrating column (2) with concentrator plates (3-5) and a dephlegmator (9) with a cooling system (16). Rising alcohol vapours can be led to at least one Cu catalyst (8,10) to bind the cyanide components. Alcohols vapours are led to a Cu catalyst (10) with a large, axially permeable Cu surface (13) situated in the direction of flow of the alcohol vapours immediately above the dephlegmator (90 and extending over the whole cross section of flow (D) of the appts. (1).
