PURPOSE:To contrive to downsize equipment and to reduce the cost thereof and production cost of the material concerned by a method wherein at least thermoplastic resins under molten state of the uppermost layer and of the lowermost layer are fed on the surfaces of fiber reinforcing material for the material concerned, which is prepared by alternately laminating the fiber reinforcing material and the thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:Laminate material (c) is produced by laminating thermoplastic resins (a) and a1, which are extruded downwards from dies 10A and 10B in a feeding device 10, and fiber reinforcing material (b), which is continuously delivered downwards from a delivery device 10D, into three layers. In this case, all the thermoplastic resins (a) and a1 under molten state are fed from the dies 10A and 10B on the surfaces of the fiber reinforcing material (b). Next, the resultant laminate material (c) heated under the condition being slightly pressed with a pair of driving rolls 10F and carried out downwards, turned by 90 degrees with a turning guide roller 11, fed to a roller type impregnator 7 so as to be carried with a pair of metal belt conveyors 1A and 1B through heating and pressing devices 4 in order to be heated up to and kept at the temperature, which is higher than the melting point or softening point of the thermoplastic resins (a) and a1, resulting in infiltrating both the resins (a) and a1 of the upper and lower layers in the fiber reinforcing material (b) of the intermediate layer and making them into an integral, body. As the thermoplastic resin used, there is no special limitation and polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate and the like are exampled. As a result, equipment and labor for manufacturing sheet-like or film-like thermoplastic resin can be made unnecessary. |
