PURPOSE:To enable information that usable period has elapsed after opening a container to be displayed by a method wherein a time counting means which counts elapsed time after an enclosed container has been unsealed and a display means in which when counter time reaches a predetermined usable period, the elapse of the usable period is displayed, are buitl-in the title ink jet recorder. CONSTITUTION:When light sensor 107 senses light of illumination light or the like by unsealing a container 101 formed of a light-shielding material, a CPU 105 constructing an output means makes a timer 108 being a time counting means start counting time. When time counted with the timer 108 becomes predetermined usable period, the CPU 105 outputs an output signal for lighting a lamp formed light emitting diode 106 being a display means. A galvanic cell 109 operates the CPU 105, an LED 106, the light sensor 107, and the timer 108. |
