FIBROUS DIELECTRIC AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To manufacture a fibrous dielectric by a simple method wherein no special devices are necessary but the surface of a fibrous substance is covered with titanic acid alkaline earth metallic salt. CONSTITUTION:Titanate whisker or titanium whisker oxide is preferable as a fibrous substance. The surface of fibrous substance is covered with titanic acid alkaline earth metallic salt. A titanium compound is dissolved in a disperse solution of fibrous substance and a alkali earth metallic compound, therein, and a preciptant is concurrently or separately added to those mixed solutions while it is being agitated so that the titanium compound and an alkaline earth metallic compound both of which are unsoluble in a dispersion medium are made to be deposited on the surface of the fibrous substance and then heated at 500 - 1300 deg.C.
