PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that can always suppress production of moire with respect to a periodic image including every frequency band and to provide an image processor method. SOLUTION: In this image processing method, an area discrimination block 1 applies area discrimination processing to received CMY image data and gives the image data of parts discriminated to be a periodic image to an affine transmission processing block 5 via a path selector block 4 on the basis of a selection signal SELECT. A pitch discrimination block 2 reads the pitch of the periodic images from an area separation signal ASEG and outputs the pitch information signal PITCH to an area size designation block 6. The affine transformation processing block 5 divides a periodic image area into a plurality of small areas on the basis of a size designation signal ASIZE from the area size designation block 6 or a size designation signal SSET from an optional size designation block 7 and applies random affine transformation processing to each small area on the basis of random data RNUM from a random number generating block 8. |
