PURPOSE:To cure ink in a printing image and to transfer entire ink of the image to a matter to be printed by immediately emitting an electron beam from the rear surface of the matter to be printed in a state that the matter is brought into close contact with the surface of a plate cylinder by an impression cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An inking unit 2, a wiping unit 3, an impression cylinder 4 and an electron beam emitting unit 5 immediately after the cylinder 4 are mounted around a plate cylinder 1, ink is adhered to the surface of the cylinder 1 by the unit 2, the excess ink of a non-image part is wiped off by the unit 3, then pressed by the cylinder 4 to transfer the ink in the image to a matter 6 to be printed, emitted by an electron beam from the unit 5 immediately thereafter to cure the ink, and transferred to the matter 6. A lead layer 11 is provided around a core 12 around an electron beam output window 5' as shown, a pair of sheet retaining and shielding rollers 7 having thin heat resistant rubber layers 13 therearound are mounted, shielding plates 19 are provided behind the rollers to prevent leakage of an X-ray. |
