PURPOSE:To enable the rolling of a tooth surface part completely upto the tooth bottom part of a spline without any unreasonable work on the part of a rolling cutter by performing a rolling after providing the relief part of a rolling burr on the tooth bottom part of the spline of a sleeve. CONSTITUTION:The relief part 1a1-1 of a rolling burr is provided on a tooth bottom part 1a1 in case of machining a spline 1a by a broach, etc. The tooth surface part (taper part) 1a2 of the spline 1a is then subjected to a rolling and the rolling burr caused at that time is stored in the relief part 1a1-1. The tooth surface part (taper part) 1a2 is therefore rolled completely upto the tooth bottom part 1a1 without any unreasonable work on the part of the rolling cutter. |
