PURPOSE:To obtain a high spring constant at the time of large displacement and a low spring constant at the time of small displacement by providing a stopper, consisting of elastic material of damping force larger than an elastic unit, in a hollow chamber. CONSTITUTION:A hollow chamber 4 is formed by connecting inner and outer cylinders 1, 2 to each other by an elastic unit 3 to interpose a ring between the outer cylinder 2 and the elastic unit 3 and to fix the elastic unit 3 to this ring 6 by adhesive vulcanization or the like and the outer cylinder 2 to this ring 6 by means of calk fixing or the like. A stopper 7, consisting of elastic material of damping force larger than the elastic unit 3, is provided in the hollow chamber 4. By this constitution, a low absolute spring constant is held only by the elastic unit 3 with no contact of the outer cylinder 2 with the stopper 7 when small relative displacement is generated between the inner and outer cylinders 1, 2. The absolute spring characteristic, combined with the elastic unit 3 and the stopper 7, and the high damping characteristic, adding damping of the stopper 7 to the elastic unit 3, are displayed by generating contact of the outer cylinder 2 with a tongue piece 7A of the stopper 7 when large relative displacement is generated between the inner and outer cylinders 1, 2. |
