<p>A security lock for a closure member comprises a bolt (13) operable by a bolt-operating member (14) the interconnection between which is controlled by an electronic unit (22) via a removable key pad (16, 20) which can be plugged in via a socket (10, 19). The key pad (16, 20) carries the power supply for the lock electronics and an individual key pad (16, 20) can be used to release any one of a plurality of different locks by plugging into the socket (10, 19), generation of an input signal by operation of the keys of the key pad, and comparison of the signal thus generated with a release code stored in the lock electronic unit (22). <IMAGE></p> |
