PURPOSE:To connect a smoothing capacitor to outer lead terminals with a shortest distance and suppress a switching noise by a method wherein a pair of the outer lead terminals with the smoothing capacitor connected are arranged adjacent to each other and the smoothing capacitor is connected to the outer lead terminals near the terminals. CONSTITUTION:An active filter having circuit structure in which a reactor L is connected between the output terminal of a rectifying circuit composed of diodes D1-D4 and a switching device is mounted on an insulated metal board. Outer lead terminals to connect a large current circuit block to an external circuit and outer terminals for a small signal circuit block are provided on respective circumferential edge sides which face each other. Therefore, a pair of outer lead terminals with a smoothing capacitor connected are always arranged adjacent to each other and the smoothing capacitor can be connected to the outer lead terminals near the terminals with a shortest distance, so that a switching noise produced between the outer lead terminals and the smoothing capacitor can be suppressed.
