PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency of a memory by deleting a delete designation character in a displayed message from the content of a detection means and a storage means based on an entered delete designation character and an entered command. CONSTITUTION:A display control means 21 of a central processing unit 9 has a means deleting a delete command character in a message displayed on a liquid crystal display device 12 from the content of a liquid crystal display device 11 and a RAM 10 based on an entered delete designation character and an entered command. Moreover, a reed switch 13, a cursor switch 14 and a delete switch 15 as switch means issuing a display command, a delete designation character and a delete command to the central processing unit 9 are provided. Then the display control means 21 deletes the delete designation character in a message displayed on the detection means 21 from the content of the detection means 12 and the storage means 10 based on the entered delete designation character and the delete command. Thus, the operating efficiency of the memory is improved.
