A self-ventilating toilet is provided with superposed air intake chamber and a water discharge chamber. A tubular member leading to the water discharge is vertically disposed and extends through the air intake chamber and is provided with apertures to allow the water flowing in the tubular member to flow through the air intake chamber and clean the latter.
