The pressure operated tool for fitting or removing pads from vehicle endless tracks has a pressure cylinder (3) whose piston operates a ram (4). A swivel mounted stirrups on the cylinder grips the rear of the pad (1) by a cross member (7) while the ram pushes against the link base (2), thus drawing the pad off. To push the pad on the link a hook shaped stirrup is fitted or the cross member is removed to form a hook which grips behind a ledge on the link while the ram pushes the pad into place. This provides a simple lightweight tool which is easy to handle.
