PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reproducibility of a thin line image as well as to improve the surface activity of a substrate and to enhance the adhesiveness of a silver image by adjusting the impurity content of an aluminum plate and to provide a silver salt offset printing original plate excellent in the printing resistance of thin lines and development latitude. SOLUTION: The silver salt offset printing original plate is obtained by disposing a silver salt photosensitive layer on an aluminum substrate formed by subjecting an aluminum plate containing 0.05-0.5 wt.% copper to electrolytic surface roughening.
