SURFACE PROTECTIVE FILM OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL

摘要

PURPOSE:To dispense with peeling of a protective film in inspecting a liquid crystal display panel by using an optically isotropic film satisfying specified conditions as a protective film which is stuck to the surface of a polarizing plate of a liquid crystal display panel for protecting the surface. CONSTITUTION:An optically isotropic film which can satisfy all of the following conditions (a)-(c) is used as a protective film 1 which is stuck to the surface of a polarizing plate 2 of a liquid crystal display panel for protecting the surface: (a) the film should be one made from a resin or a plasticized resin of a glass transition point of 50 deg.C or below and can be stuck to the polarizing plate 2, (b) the smoothness of the surface on the side of sticking to the polarizing plate 2 should be 0.1mum or below, and (c) it should have a retardation value of 30nm or below and a transmittance to visible light of 75% or above.
