Dentifrice contains polyoxyethylene - polyoxypropylene block copolymer nonionic surface active agent and xanthan gelling agent to provide high foaming, and also contains a liquid humectant vehicle. Foam and mouth feel is improved with poly (ethylene oxide). Poly (ethylene oxide) and siliceous polishing material produce flocculated polishing material which reduces stain formation without raising dentin abrasion. Maltitol is a desirable humectant and provides clarity to dentifrices containing complex alkali metal aluminosilicate polishing agent.
