The apparatus generates a warning sound when the fuel of automobile comes near depletion, thereby eliminating the troublesome task of checking the level of the remaining fuel. The apparatus includes a thermistor (20) and a float (30) and further includes a storing cup (40) for receiving the thermistor (20). The cup (40) is provided with a projection (42) on the bottom thereof, while a hole (43) is formed at the center of the projection (42).
