PURPOSE: A safety device of a vehicle sliding door is provided to prevent a sliding door not to be automatically closed on a slope by further providing a second extension spring connected to a push rod. CONSTITUTION: A safety device of a vehicle sliding door includes a release rod(32) connected to a handle used for closing a door, a locking rod(34) connected to the release rod and a first expansion spring(36) attached to a vehicle body to be maintained at a uniform position and rotatable with respect to a hinge in the center, a locking concave-convex part(50) formed at an end of a middle rail, a locking element(44) formed in the same shape with the locking concave-convex part to be connected or disconnected to the locking concave-convex part and mounted to the vehicle body by a connection rod(46), and a push rod(38) having a holding shoulder at a surface to capture the locking rod, connected to the locking element by the connection rod at another side and to the vehicle body via a second expansion spring(42) at the other side, so that the locking element contacts or deviates from the locking concave-convex part by the door and the locking rod.
