PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently control document reading data. SOLUTION: A document is read by a scanner 12, and read image data is converted into code data (OCR data) by an OCR part 14. A processing part 16 stores a document storage place address in a document database 18 according to the image data and the OCR data. A user can acquire the OCR data of the data, the image data, and the storage place address by inputting search words by an input part 26.
