PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a log level defining method allowing a user to output a log output of the desired level at each function or at each process. SOLUTION: An application program AP 112 defines the log level utilizable by the whole application program with an initialization processing section 102, delivers the value of the log level used by a processing section A 105 selected by the user to the log level input section 1051 of the processing section A 105 as an input, and acquires the log of the specified level during the process for achieving the primary purpose of the application program with the processing section A 105 and the other processing section 1052. The acquired log information is outputted to an external storage device 108 or an input/output device 109 by a log output processing section 107.
