PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KARAOKE device which changes the key without deviating from the limit pitch of a musical instrument used for KARAOKE accompaniment music. SOLUTION: The KARAOKE device with a key control function has in a proper storage means playing limit pitch tables wherein the upper-limit values and lower-limit values of playing pitches are described as playing limit pitches by musical instruments included in KARAOKE accompaniment music data. When the key of KARAOKE accompaniment music data of some piece of music is changed, it is confirmed whether or not playing limit pitches of respective musical instrument parts in the accompaniment music data deviate from the playing limit pitches set in the playing limit pitch tables as to the changed key settings and if so, the pitch value of the playing part is corrected to a value which does not deviate from the playing limit pitch when the music is played.
