PURPOSE:To obtain a rigid foam which is equivalent to that obtained when a conventional halogenocarbon blowing agent is used without causing any problem or deteriorating the properties by using a specified high-molecular weight active hydrogen compound and a hydrogenated halogenocarbon blowing agent. CONSTITUTION:A process for producing a rigid foam by reacting an active hydrogen compound with a polyisocyanate compound in the presence of a halogenocarbon blowing agent and assistants such as a catalyst, wherein part of the active hydrogen compound comprises a high-molecular weight active hydrogen compound having at least two active hydrogen groups which are selected from among hydroxyl, prim. amino and sec. amino groups and at least one of which is prim. or se. amino and having a mol.wt. of 180 or above per active hydrogen group (e.g. polyoxyalkylene compound obtained by converting at least part of the hydroxyl groups of a polyoxyalkylene polyol into prim. or sec. amino groups or organic groups containing these groups), and the whole or part of the halogenocarbon blowing agent comprises a hydrogenated halogenocarbon blowing agent (e.g. monochlorodifluormethane). |
