PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating wall capable of surely reducing noises and, at the same time, excellent in workability at low cost. SOLUTION: The sound insulating wall 1 is constituted of a plate-like member 2 formed in the shape of a wave or forming a large number of approximately recessed stripe sections 2b on plane plate bodies 2a at regular intervals and a sound absorbing material 3 provided to the whole surface on one side of the plate-like member 2. The sound insulating wall 3 can be manufactured at a low cost since it is so simply constituted that the sound absorbing material 3 is provided to the plate-like member 2. When the plate-like member 2 has corrugated sections or approximately recessed stripe sections to have a high sectional performance against an out-of-plane bending, a wall as the sound insulating wall 1 can be constructed when there is a supporting material with an extent of resisting wind load therein, and it can be contributed to the shortening of a construction period at a site and the reduction of a construction cost. When a space section 5 (air space) is formed between the plane plate-like sound absorbing material 3 and the plate-like member 2 by making use of the corrugated sections and the recessed stripe sections 2b, a sound absorbing performance in a low sound area can be promoted by the air space provided to the back of the sound absorbing material 3.
