Granular compositions.

Particles of active compounds are granulated in a continuous process by contacting them in a high shear mixer with granulation liquid in the presence of a film-forming polymer and then drying the wet granules. The film forming polymer is substantially insoluble in water at pH 7 but more soluble in aqueous alkali at pH 10 and is preferably applied in the form of an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles. The process is used to granulate detergent additives, suitably bleaching components including a bleach activator, tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED).
