PURPOSE:To discriminate between characters and a background part securely by converting a signal, obtained by summing up image signals obtained by separating the reflected light of a form by colors and converting separated components photoelectrically, into a binary signal. CONSTITUTION:Reflected light 3 is made incident to a mirror 4 through the hole 61 in a shielding plate 5. The light is separated by half-mirrors 41 and 42, and then made incident to photoelectric conversion parts 11-13 through color filters 31- 33. The conversion parts 11-13 each input a video signal, which corresponds to the intensity of the incident light, to an adding circuit 9 through one of amplification parts 81-83. The output signal of the adding circuit 9 is converted into a binary signal by a binary-coding circuit 20. |
