PURPOSE:To reduce the time when an incoming call or other priority transmission is kept waiting and to improve the operation or the operating performance by allowing a multi-address means to use one of plural communication channels or one of plural lines to start multi-address transmission to a 1st opposite party and to use other communication channel or other like after lapse of a prescribed time to start multi-address transmission to a 2nd opposite party. CONSTITUTION:In the case of making multi-address transmission by a digital facsimile equipment, at first the operator uses a key pad 28 to make an instruction of multi-address transmission. Then the operating state of a current B- channel is confirmed and whether or not an idle B-channel exists is checked. When the two B-channels are both busy, the system awaits and idle B-channel. When any B-channel is idle, the transmission to a 1st destination is started. Then '2' is substituted to a succeeding transmission destination number variable (n) and '0' is substituted to a communication end variable (J). When (n-1) is coincident with J and it is discriminated that the B-channel is not used for the multi-address transmission, the transmission of the n-th destination is started, the succeeding transmission destination variable is incremented and the system reaches the multi-address transmission state.
