PURPOSE:To readily and efficiently carry out thawing treatment without impairing taste and texture before freezing by providing the bottom of a thawing vessel with a recessed part having a specific difference in level, placing or filling cooked rice in the bottom and ingredient materials in the recessed part and thawing the cooked rice and ingredient materials. CONSTITUTION:A vessel body is constructed from a material capable of transmitting microwaves and resisting to heating in a microwave oven. A recessed part is provided in the central part at the bottom of the aforementioned vessel. Although the interval (a difference in level of the recessed part) between the top surface of the recessed part and the bottom of the vessel body is set according to the kind, shape and size of frozen cooked rice, the interval is normally preferably within the range of 3 to 30mm. For example, pieces of cooked rice 2 are placed or filled in the bottom and ingredient materials 3 are placed or ingredient materials 5 are filled in the recessed part. The pieces of the cooked rices and ingredient materials in the resultant thawing vessel are thawed and cooked in a microwave oven to attain the desired object. |
