摘要 PURPOSE:To cool a battery for an electric vehicle with high efficiency all the time by forming an intake port which takes in air by ram pressure at the time of vehicle running and an exhaust port in a battery box, and installing a cooling fan which is driven at least during battery charging in the air flow. CONSTITUTION:In a scooter type motorcycle, a battery box 10 which houses a battery Ba in it and whose upper part is covered with an opening and closing cover 101 is disposed in a space between the left and right side members F21 and F22 of a central frame F2. A tubular intake port 102 engaged with a connecting pipe F11 which protrudes rearward to the lower edge of a front frame F1 in the front part of the battery box 10, and an exhaust port 103 in the rear part of the battery box. An air intake port F12 is disposed at the upper end of the front frame F1, and air is supplied into the battery box 10 by ram pressure at the time of running and is exhausted from an exhaust port 103. Besides, a battery cooling motor 84 provided with a cooling fan 83 is mounted inside the intake port 102 and is driven during charging while ram pressure is not available.
