PURPOSE:To facilitate a formation of an air curtain zone, get a low cost and enable a free air conditioning and purification to be attained within the zone by a method wherein a gas injection flow is injected by an injection flow generating means substantially in accurate opposition to a central part of a parasol-like guide surface and the injection flow is passed along the parasol-like guide surface. CONSTITUTION:When an operating panel 50 is operated and an axial air blower 2 is operated, air outside a guiding member 1 passes through a guard 26 and enters a casing 21 through an air suction port 24, is biased by a vane wheel 22 and is injected as an injection flow A toward a central part of a parasol-like guide surface 1a of a guide member 1. The air strikes against a central part of the parasol-like guide surface 1a, the air is guided by a guide 28, becomes a flow B along the guide surface 1a and the air is dispersed toward an outer circumferential edge 1c. Then, the air becomes a film-like annular injection flow C from an entire circumference of the outer circumferential edge 1c and the air flows out toward a slant downward direction. As a result, an air curtain ranging from the outer circumferential edge 1c of the guiding member 1 to the fixed wall 3 is formed by the annular injection flow C, and a local closed spacing enclosed by this air curtain, i.e., the zone 9 is limited within the spacing 8 between the guiding member 1 and the fixed wall 3. |
