REAR PANEL OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME BY SIMULTANEOUSLY BAKING DIELECTRIC LAYER AND BARRIER RIBS

PURPOSE: A rear panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the frequency of baking by simultaneously baking a dielectric layer and barrier ribs during manufacture of rear panel. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a rear panel comprises a first step of forming an address electrode pattern on a substrate(301); a second step of forming a dielectric layer(303) on the substrate where the address electrode pattern is formed; a third step of forming a barrier rib layer on the dielectric layer; a fourth step of forming a barrier rib pattern(304a) by processing the barrier rib layer through a sand blast method; and a fifth step of simultaneously baking the barrier rib pattern and the dielectric layer. The fourth step includes the sub-steps of laminating a photosensitive dry film resist on the barrier rib layer; forming a pattern of the photosensitive dry film resist by exposing and developing the photosensitive dry film resist through the use of a photo mask covering only the portion corresponding to the barrier rib pattern; grinding the barrier rib layer by using the pattern of the photosensitive dry film resist as a mask; and stripping off the pattern of the photosensitive dry film resist.
