PURPOSE:To enable attainment of a simple and safe apparatus and execution of successive automatic inspection by providing a pair of rails made to have a falling gradient so that a drum laid down be moved in rolling, and by disposing swing roller mechanisms having functions of receiving, inspecting and delivering the drum, for inspection stages provided midway. CONSTITUTION:A weight measuring stage A is provided on the upstream side in the middle of a pair of rails 17 having a falling gradient, while a radiation measuring stage B is provided on the downstream side of the stage A adjacently thereto, and swing roller mechanisms 20A and 20 having functions of receiving (a), inspecting (b) and delivering (c) a drum 1 are provided for the stages respectively. The swing roller mechanism 20A being put in an inspection state (b) wherein two sets of rotating rollers 18 are made horizontal, the drum 1 is supported thereby and the weight is measured by a load cell 11. The swing roller mechanism 20 being put in the inspection state (b), subsequently, detectors 2, 3 and 4 of a surface dose rate measuring means are moved in prescribed extents respectively while the drum 1 is rotated by driving a motor, and thereby a surface dose rate of the whole surface of the drum 1 is measured. Then, a 1-m dose rate of each side is measured by a body detector 6, an top detector 5 and a bottom detector 7 of a 1-m dose rate measuring means, and when measurement is ended, the drum 1 is sent out onto the rails 17.
