PURPOSE:To obtain prompt heating performance, high temperature radiation, reduce cooking time and scorch food to be cooked more easily by installing a sheet-like heating element on a space sustaining material, and allowing the greater part of the heating element to be located into a space. CONSTITUTION:To prevent the penetration of microwave, it is acceptable to specify the maximum diameter of a through hole of a microwave shielding board 2 as 5mm and smaller. A sheet-like heating element 3 is a metal heating element made of stainless steel, nickel, and chrome laid out in a zigzag manner. A space sustaining member 5 is installed between the high frequency shielding board 2 and the sheet-like heating element 3 while a metal heating element 4 is designed to be heat resistant and corrosion resistant so that it may not be subjected to a short circuit when the metal heating element comes into contact with the microwave shielding board 2. Furthermore, it is made of ceramic or glass which is excellent in electric insulation. The sheet-like heating element 3 is installed on the space sustaining member 5. Moreover, the contact area between the sheet-like heating element 3 and the space sustaining member is small, which minimizes thermal diffusion induced by thermal conduction. As a result, the sheet-like heating element 3 reaches high temperature in a short time. It is, therefore, possible to reduce cooking time and scorch a heated substance more easily. |
