PURPOSE:To enhance the positional precision of a switching plate, minimize the generation of a jam of sheets by the switching plate, and stably travel the sheets by providing a compression spring fixed to the switching plate, an opening and closing cover, and respective stoppers for face-up and face-down positioning. CONSTITUTION:A compression spring 5 fixed to a switching plate l is in the state compressed by the projection part 4a of an opening and closing cover 4. As the compression spring 5 is set in such a manner that the clockwise moment by its compression force is larger than the counterclockwise moment by a return spring 7, the switching plate 1 is positioned in contact with a face- down stopper 8. A sheet 10 printed by a printer device 6 is carried in the arrowed direction 11 by a carrying roller 2, passed through a sheet carrying passage 12, carried by a carrying-out roller 3, and discharged with face down. At the time of face-up discharging, the opening and closing cover 4 is opened to bring the spring 5 into free state, and the switching plate 2 makes contact with a face-up stopper 9. |
