PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polygon mirror in which the adhesion of the polygon mirror and a flange member is not easily separated and the optical characteristic (tilt angle of the reflection face) of the polygon mirror is stably secured. SOLUTION: The polygon mirror which is formed in a regular polygon and has reflection faces on respective circumferential faces is provided with: a machining reference face which is mirror-finished and serves as a reference face when the reflection faces are machined; and a assembly reference face which is disposed in parallel to the machining reference face, roughly finished and serves as a reference face when the polygon mirror is assembled.
