PURPOSE:To improve a bonding force of a polarizable electrode to be mounted with a metal case, reduce the deterioration of its properties and hence extend its service life by using a conductivity binder to mount the polarizable electrode with a metal case where water glass is added to an aqueous solution containing conductivity carbon. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 3 and 4 are installed to a metal case body 1, which is shaped like a shallow pan and a cap covered over the metal case body 1 respectively by way of bonding materials 5 where a separator 7 is laid out between the respective electrode 3 and 4, thereby bonding the case body 1 with the cap 2 at the peripheral edge. Water glass must be added to an aqueous solution containing conductivity carbon for the bonding materials to be used here. It is more preferable that the amount of glass added should range from 1 to 30wt.%. This construction makes it possible to improve the bonding force of the electrodes with the case body 1 and the cap 2, reduce characteristic deterioration and hence extend service life as well. |
