PURPOSE:To provide possibility of fitting a clean contact lens at all times by forming a vessel therefore from a resin containing powder of dissolutive glass, which allows elusion of a proper amount of Ag ions in the solution, and thereby preventing attachment of germs to the contact leans accommodated in the vessel. CONSTITUTION:0.4-1.6%, by wt., Ag ions (converted into Ag2O) having excellent pasteurizing effect are included in a glass composition having a controlled dissolving speed for saline solution as a main component of a solution for contact leans, wherein crushing shall be made so as to give particle sizes ranging 5-60mum. As plastics for forming a vessel for the contact lens solution, any of those usually used to a soft vessel may be adopted, such as polyethylene or polypropylene. The adding amount of the dissolutive glass to the plastic is usually ranging 0.3-10.0 5 by wt. depending upon the nature of the plastic and the anti-bacterial effect. |
