<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the useless traveling of a tape and the erroneous erasing of recorded information from occurring by issuing an alarm and holding a tape recorder under a stop state at the same time when a switch is turned on without inserting a plug in an external signal input jack. CONSTITUTION:When the closing operation of the operation switch for recording an external signal 13 is executed under a state that the plug is not inserted in the external signal input jack 6, an H level signal is outputted to an alarm control terminal 30. However, the H level signal is not outputted to an output terminal for recording 20 and a switching signal output terminal 29. When the H level signal is outputted to the terminal 30, an alarm signal generation circuit 31 is set in an action state and an alarm sound is outputted from a speaker 32. Thus, a user can recognize that the plug is not inserted in the jack 6. Simultaneously a switching circuit for recording 19 is not actuated and the tape recorder is held under the stop state. As a result, the useless traveling of the tape and the erroneous erasing of the recorded information are prevented from occurring.</p> |
