PURPOSE:To attain playing such as a stroke playing method and an arpeggio playing method by simple fret operation by allocating the chord constitution sound of a discriminated chord to a detected open string and allocating a sound level corresponding to a detected fret position to a string other than the open string. CONSTITUTION:A fret operation detecting means 40 detects the fret operating position of each string, discriminates a chord specified by the fret operation and detects an open string. In a simple chord specification mode, a microcomputer 30 automatically allocates the constitution sound of the discriminated chord to the open string and allocates a sound level corresponding to a fret position to a fret-operated string. Consequently, chord playing can be easily and rapidly executed by the stroke playing method, the arpeggio playing method, or the like. |
