<p>PURPOSE:To attain an unmanned digitizing job by obtaining a normal vector at each point of the Y direction data based on the X direction data. CONSTITUTION:The digitization data A and B on the X and Y directions of a three-dimensional shape body 2 obtained by a digitizer 1 are stored in a floppy disk 3, etc., and sent to an arithmetic unit 4. In this case, the unit 4 produces an entire surface SA based on the X direction copying data A and obtains a unit normal vector N at each point of the Y direction copying data B. Then a partial area Bi showing a better shape than the data A is extracted out of the data B based on the XY component ratio of the vector N. A curved surface SBi is generated for each area Bi, and the surfaces SA and SBi are put on each other to show a curved surface shape. A cutter path is calculated to the obtained curved surface shape. Thus an unmanned digitizing job is attained and the surfaces are automatically generated. Then the manned time is extremely shortened.</p> |
