PURPOSE:To utilize a copying machine efficiently by making the copying machine in standby in the copying mode when a terminal equipment makes reservation of the use of the copying machine and the copying mode in a network comprising the terminal equipment and the copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine 1 confirms the entry of a reservation mode signal and of a password code and accepts the reservation by using a telephone set 3 with a terminal equipment function for copying machine. Then the operation mode is stored in an operation mode reservation memory and the mode transits to the reservation party arrival waiting mode. In this mode, the operation mode information such as a copy magnification and a copy sheet number to be stored is read and the condition is set to the copying machine 1. In order to distinguish reservation parties and other parties than the reservation parties, the user enters its password code to the copying machine 1 and when the party is identified to be the reservation party, the copying machine 1 is brought into the operation enable state. |
