<p>PURPOSE:To perform automatic editing of musical notes, which have been input at optimum layout positions, with a simple operation by a method wherein the musical notes and appendant signs, which are allocated at optional positions on a staff image, are analyzed for tones to calculate the layout positions of the musical notes, and the musical notes and the appendant signs are automatically re-allocated according to the calculated results. CONSTITUTION:The layout positions of a staff image to be input are designated by a pointing device 2a of a layout designating device at the time when the layout of the staff image is accomplished, musical notes are optionally positioned. Then, when automatic layout is instructed, an arithmetic device 1e analyzes the musical notes and appendant signs, which are allocated at arbitrary positions on the staff image, for the tones, and calculates the allocation positions of the musical notes. An automatic layout device 1b automatically re-allocates the musical notes and the appendant signs, subordinated to the musical notes, according to the calculated results, and optimizes the allocation of musical notes.</p> |
